Omin
Ireland
Omin is an Irish visual artist whose practice bridges the language of graffiti and contemporary fine art. With a 27-year foundation in street-based work, his studio practice interrogates how we experience place in an era shaped equally by physical presence and digital mediation.
Working between large-scale public murals and gallery exhibitions, he explores rhythm, fragmentation, and the emotional tone of contemporary urban life. His compositions move between photorealism and abstraction, echoing the layered and interrupted way we now encounter environments — both on the street and through screens.
Central to his practice is immersion. Whether suspended above a city street or working within the white cube, Omin responds directly to context, treating each site as both subject and collaborator.
His work is held in the Municipal Collection under Taiscé Lú and he previously served as Artistic Director of the SEEK Contemporary Urban Arts Festival, contributing significantly to the development of contemporary mural culture in Ireland.
