Last time we got together and talked and met people and had a beer. It's probably about time that we did it again.
The internet has empowered millions to learn, interact and promote what they do. The number of freelancers and small businesses has increased exponentially - and it continues to grow.
As the ranks of freelancers swell, there is a need to network, a need to lobby and a need to organise. Whatever we do, as bakers, tailors, brewers, baristas, entertainers, etc we have a common bond.
This time we'll be joined by representatives of four breweries, all small and all with very different business models, and discussing what it is that drives us. Our panel will examine the motivation behind why we do what we do. What's the end game? What's the dream? Is it about more than money? And if it is how does that impact on how we go about our work? And we'll be looking at all these questions through beer goggles.
COMM/ON will explore how we as freelancers can improve our work, celebrate the contribution that we make to society and build a creative space where we can network, learn and foster new ways of working together.
And drink… there will be drink.
COMM/ON is free but you need to register. Last time we sold out so book your place here now.
