With more and more powers being devolved to local government and technology democratising power, lobbying has become something that anyone with a particular set of skills can engage successfully in. Some of the most successful campaigns, whilst lacking a budget, have turned the heads of Ministers and Councillors and resulted in real changes.
In this new Faculty course Chris McCreery will lift the lid on the workings of Government and outline simple and cost effective ways to help you impact on public policy. The course will provide a brief overview of the structures of governance, will highlight examples of effective campaigns as well as outlining good tips and techniques to help you lobby.

Chris is currently Director of the hugely successful NI Science Festival. Prior to this, he worked for as a professional lobbyist on a range of local and national campaigns for various charities and private sector clients.
This course begins on Wednesday 6th April from 6.00-8.00pm and continues every Wednesday for the following six weeks concluding on the 11th May.
